CHACOM Select No. X Briar Flame Grain France Pipe

Strict selection in terms of craftsmanship and the quality of the materials used – this is perhaps the simplest way to describe this model from the Select series by Chacom. However, this exceptional pipe deserves a more detailed introduction.

The pipe is made from Italian briar featuring Flame Grain, one of the most highly regarded grain patterns. Clearly defined, regular grain lines running across the bowl and shank, combined with striking birdseye on the base, create a particularly attractive composition that beautifully showcases the natural character of the briar.

The design of this series allows for a maximum of three small natural inclusions, none of which require any intervention from the pipe maker. Particular attention has therefore been given to both the quality of the briar and the way its natural characteristics are presented. The pipe is available in two stain options – brown or amber – while the satin, semi-matte finish preserves the natural appearance of the briar.

The classic Pot shape completes the design: a straight pipe with a low bowl and a broad chamber. This construction provides plenty of room for arranging the tobacco and makes ember management easier. The Pot shape is particularly well suited to flake tobaccos and aromatic blends, which often benefit from a little additional chamber space.

The tapered stem is made from durable acrylic. The pipe is designed for smoking without a filter.

This model is no longer available from the manufacturer as part of its regular range. Only two pieces remain at BrogShop, precisely the two shown in the photographs. This makes the pipe not only an attractive and highly practical smoking instrument, but also an increasingly interesting collector's piece for enthusiasts looking for older, highly selected Chacom models.
