Description
The pipe-smoking ceremony used to be considered a way of connecting the physical and spiritual worlds, a kind of link between earth and heaven. According to the Indians, smoking tobacco in a pipe is a form of prayer. The pipe was also often smoked to prevent evil, to seal a peace or covenant being made, or to bring animals to their hunting grounds. Nowadays, smoking a pipe is more a way to relax and take a moment to reflect after a tiring day. The preparation of the tobacco and the pipe itself, is quite a solemn ritual for pipe smokers.
Kalumet is a pipe handmade from Italian briar in our workshop near Przemysl, Poland. It is decorated with real feathers and beads on a string tied around the shank of the pipe. Furnace of standard capacity covered with pre-carbonization. The long stem is made entirely of hard wood. The pipes are packaged in a case and a box with the mark of our brand. Collector's pipe and fully functional, can be a sophisticated gift. Briar - Italy/Toscania, Briar Cutter - Manno, grade - Extra.
