* Lapacho IPE, also known as diamond nut, is a tree that grows mainly in western equatorial Africa. The plant in the felling age of about 50 years, reaches a height of 25 to even 60 meters. Lapacho is one of the hardest types of wood on earth, with a hardness class of A-1 and therefore similar to steel. The considerable density of wood makes it difficult to work with tools as hard and durable as those for metalworking. The color of the wood varies from yellow to dark brown and black, it also has a clear grain.
