Description
The French Pipe No. 1 Sablée Noir is a classic, handcrafted briar pipe, presented in a warm brown tone with an elegant matte finish achieved using natural carnauba wax. A distinctive feature is the white-and-blue ring inspired by the marinière pattern – a timeless symbol of French style. This motif is also found on the fabric pouch, packaging, and long matches included in the set. The kit also comes with a pipe smoker’s tool, a catalogue of all models in the series, and a practical guide for beginners.
The pipe is lightweight, well-balanced, and handy, yet offers a generous bowl capacity. The chamber has been gently pre-carbonized – as with any new pipe, it requires careful break-in, especially during the initial phase of use. The smooth, satin-finished briar surface makes the pipe pleasant to the touch. The mouthpiece is made of acrylic and is compatible with 6 mm filters.
