Selection and Drying
After extraction, meerschaum blocks are sorted by quality and size.

Carving the Pipe Shape
Skilled craftsmen carve each pipe by hand using chisels and knives. This step requires great precision, as meerschaum allows for the creation of intricate patterns and detailed ornamentation. The bowl, shank, and stem mount are shaped according to the intended design.

Drilling and Fitting
Once shaped, the pipe is drilled to create the smoke channel, ensuring smooth airflow. A connector is then fitted into the shank, and a mouthpiece—made from acrylic, amber, or other materials—is attached.

Sanding and Smoothing
