Description

An original pipe crafted in the workshop of Ryszard Filar — one of the most distinguished Polish pipe makers and a student of Ludwik Walat. This piece, marked with number 8, belongs to the earliest models in the maker’s body of work, developed in collaboration with Walat and Kulpiński. It represents a particularly valuable example from the early stage of Filar’s career and stands as an authentic testament to his craftsmanship and emerging style.

The pipe features a slender, classic silhouette, enhanced by a delicate, thin ring separating the stem from the briar shank, giving the piece a refined and balanced appearance. Despite being several decades old, the pipe remains in excellent condition and has never been used, which significantly enhances its collectible value.

The model is fitted with a tapered stem equipped with a condenser for comfortable use. The pre-carbonized bowl allows for an easy start in smoking.

As Ryszard Filar has retired from professional pipe-making, the remaining pieces are among the last ever created and will not be reproduced. This makes it an exceptional offering for collectors and enthusiasts of traditional pipe craftsmanship.

The pipe does not include the original manufacturer’s packaging.
