Description
A remarkable tobacco pipe from Tom Spanu Italy, crafted under a registered patent. The pipe is handmade from carefully selected Sardinian briar. This unique briar is partially covered with a layer of natural cork, which extends over most of the bowl and shank. The smooth rim with natural briar bark on the top and the shank’s end near the stem reveal the warm brown-stained briar. A matching wooden inlay can also be found on the stem, surrounding the silver dot.
The pipe features a standard-sized chamber, left natural, without pre-carbonization. The acrylic stem accommodates 9 mm replaceable filters. This piece is not only aesthetically intriguing but also a valuable collector's item, considering its limited availability.
The set includes an elegant pouch, a dedicated cork stand designed specifically for this pipe, and a patent certificate. Only one piece is available, as shown in the photos.

Maker’s History:
In 1963, Tommaso Spanu left his home in Sardinia and traveled north to Gavirate, Italy, to become a pipe maker. Over the next 16 years, he honed his craft while working with renowned masters such as Alberto Paronelli, Giuseppe Ascorti, and Luigi Radice.
By 1979, Spanu decided it was time to start his own business. He returned to Sardinia and founded his workshop with the help of his brothers. Sadly, Tommaso Spanu passed away in 2015, leaving behind a remarkable legacy and a collection of outstanding pipes. We hope that his craft will continue through his brother and sons.
